Course Flow & Completion Timeline

Total Time Commitment: 24–28 hours

Instructor-Led Time: 6–8 contact hours

Completion Window:

Self-paced; final completion within 52 weeks (1 year) of enrollment date

 

1.Enrollment & Pathway Selection:

Register for the F26 offering, and select your specialization:

💧 Hydrology or 🌿 Vegetation Inventories.

2.OnDemand Online Foundational Modules (6–8 hours):

Work independently through self-paced video modules, contextual exercises, and check-in quizzes.

3.Live Virtual Classroom (2 hours):

Attend the interactive Foundations of Imagery Interpretation live class on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM MST.

Select your preferred area of study:    Ecozones:   🏔 Mountains • 🌾 Grasslands • 🌳 Parkland • 🛡 Shield • 🌲 Forests

4.Two Customized Practical Activities (16–18 hours total):

For each practical exercise, complete ~6 hours of independent mapping/interpretation, followed by a 2–3 hour flexible, 1-on-1 virtual review with a qualified instructor to defend methods and refine outputs.

5. Assessment & Certification:

Complete the final online quiz to evaluate competency and immediately download the formal Course Certificate
